Provincial Regulations

Elevate Dry Needling is not responsible for any Provincial regulatory changes regarding hour requirements for dry needling certification. It is the learners’ responsibility to ensure this course meets the requirements set by their respective professional college per individual Province and States.

Regulations updated as of July 2025

  • Be a full registrant in good standing with the college.

    Have at least 2 years of physical therapy practice experience and a minimum of 3,900 practice hours.

    Completed approved dry needling course as per college guidelines (Elevate Dry Needling currently not on approval list)

  • Physiotherapists on the General Register may apply for authorization to use needling in practice after completion of approved training.

    Elevate Dry Needling courses do meet Alberta regulatory guidelines.

  • Be a full registrant in good standing with the college.

    Have at least 2 years of physical therapy practice experience and a minimum of 3,900 practice hours.

    Completed approved dry needling course as per college guidelines (Elevate Dry Needling approval pending)

  • Have been a Physiotherapist practicing for a minimum of two (2) years.

    An acupuncture certification recognized by the College of Physiotherapists of Manitoba.

    Elevate Dry Needling courses do meet the Manitoba regulatory guidelines.

  • No minimum hours required.

    Physical Therapists on provisional roster able to take the course.

    Elevate Dry Needling courses do meet Ontario guidelines.

  • Minimum 100 hours training required.

    Elevate Dry Needling courses do meet provincial guidelines in part of hour requirements - but our course will not reach the 100 hours without other training additional.

  • No minimum hours required.

    Elevate Dry Needling courses do meet provincial guidelines.

  • No minimum hours required.

    Elevate Dry Needling courses do meet provincial guidelines.
