Dry Needling Level 1: Foundations

Elevate Dry Needling Level I: Foundations provides comprehensive instruction in the technical and clinical application of dry needling for everyday practice. The course emphasizes safe, anatomically informed needle insertion, along with a deep dive into the clinical reasoning and methodology that make dry needling such an effective therapeutic tool.

Across this 2-day intensive, you’ll learn detailed anatomy, safety principles, precautions and contraindications, and the hands-on skills required for precise needle placement. Integration of electrical stimulation as a powerful adjunct is also taught to enhance treatment outcomes.

Current, up-to-date evidence is woven throughout the curriculum. The course includes needling techniques for multiple regions of the body, including the upper and lower extremities and spinal applications in the cervical and lumbar regions (thoracic spine is covered in Level II).

    • Level I: Foundations is our entry level course; no prior dry needling experience is needed.

    • Participants must be fully registered with their respective governing body and have professional liability insurance.

    • This course is open to any clinician where dry needling falls within their scope of practice of their regulatory college as a PT, DC, AT, NP or MD.

    • With two 9-hour lab days, this course qualifies for 18 contact hours.
